INTRA-CC: Connect and Collaborate

INTRA-CC is a supervised clinical placement programme designed to address two key needs: to facilitate access to psychological care and to provide professionals at an advanced stage of their training with a supervised, rigorous and ethical clinical experience.

The programme stems from the experience gained through the supervised placement programme for students undertaking their clinical rotation as part of the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology. During this period, the INTRA-TP team was able to directly gauge the desire of these trainee professionals to continue developing their clinical practice, treating patients and applying the knowledge acquired during their rotation months, always within a framework of appropriate clinical supervision.

Building on this experience, the institute has developed a structured programme that enables selected professionals to continue their clinical development within INTRA-TP. Admission to the programme is via a rigorous selection process, which assesses not only training and clinical skills, but also ethical commitment, professional responsibility, the ability to work in a team and a commitment to continuous learning.

Professionals admitted to the programme join the centre on a contractual basis, taking on clinical responsibilities commensurate with their level of experience and always working under the continuous supervision of the team.

This programme is aimed at young people, students, large families and the unemployed.

Access is offered on a sliding-scale basis, whilst maintaining a commitment to the quality of care, clinical follow-up and constant supervision at all times.

This initiative forms part of the social and training commitment that INTRA-TP has upheld since its inception, in collaboration with associations and through projects aimed at facilitating access to psychological care and the responsible training of professionals.

The groups and organisations eligible for this programme are:

  • Students or holders of a youth card.

  • Unemployed people.

  • Holders of a large family card.
